Cogito: Journal of Philosophy and Social Inquiry is a bi-annual journal devoted to the understanding of diverse areas and aspects of philosophical discipline.
From Rene Descartes' dictum: cogito ergo sum – I think, therefore, I am, it is necessary to make a solid and indubitable foundation for knowledge, which if established, other forms of knowledge, truth and belief systems, among others, will be solidly founded and built.
Hence, what makes cogito a certainty is its clarity and distinctive nature, which the journal is based on.
The need for clear and definite discussion of issues has always been a welcome idea in the historical growth and development of philosophical discipline, with various challenges and problems, among other uncertainties, that humanity faces.
These uncertainties that man continues to pile upon himself either consciously and/or unconsciously need to be unravelled and discussed with conceptual and analytic frameworks.
Therefore, Cogito: Journal of Philosophy and Social Inquiry is interested in the publication of original manuscripts, which are tilting towards contemporary issues of man and his society from the systematic platform and foundation of philosophy.
